The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) identified a need for lawyers from different member states to train and learn about the legal systems of their European neighbours.
ICON and Crimsonwing are producing a training web portal to allow lawyers from different member states to familiarise themselves with the legal systems of their European neighbours.
The CCBE was awarded a grant from the European Commission (EC) to implement the project known as the ‘European Training Platform’ (ETP).
“We are proud to be part of this project which allows us to strengthen ICON’s identity both locally and internationally. Our collaboration with Crimsonwing continues to strengthen our belief that Malta’s international competitiveness is intrinsically tied to its ability to forge the right cooperation opportunities amongst industry leaders. The project strengthens our international portfolio and determination to open access to new foreign markets.”- Dr. Gege Gatt Director of ICON
After an initial testing phases the ETP will become available on the European Union’s e-Justice portal and in turn will be made available to all legal practitioners in various European Countries.
“Crimsonwing is excited about this project which has great potential to put technology at the service of lawyers who seek to transfer their operations from one member state to the next. Our cooperation with ICON has been extremely positive and has allowed both firms to contribute their complimentary skills to this single project.” – Mr. James Bonello Managing Director of Crimsonwing
