ICON Develops New Website for Air Malta

Air Malta is one of the country’s most visited websites boasting over 5 million users annually. In collaboration with ICON it has recently launched a new version of its website which is now even easier to navigate and offers additional functionality. This includes offering visitors personalised real-time deals according to the customers location.

The new minimalist redesign is responsive, allowing the website to intelligently accommodate the platform and the screen size it’s being viewed on. Research was conducted online through surveys done with a representative group of Air Malta customers as well as user’s behaviour patterns on the website.

Specific focus was placed on the visitors’ experience on the site starting with the homepage. Bookings can now be made in an easier manner and customers are presented with the best offers and fares available at the time.

The entire website has been optimised to load faster with specific attention also placed on the ease of use. The website will continue to learn about individual users’ preferences through the use of cookies which remember critical choices made by the visitor.

Air Malta’s website attracts over 16,500 daily visitors and currently receives over 11,500 online bookings every month. Available in seven languages the website adapts to the most suitable language depending on where the user is located. This can then be customized by visitors at any time.

The website offers a one-stop-shop to all customers through a range of online booking and payment facilities that include Air Malta flights, a large selection of hotel accommodation and car hire all through a secure and encrypted environment. Air Malta also hosts a plethora of information about Malta as well as a popular blog that is updated regularly.
